"Media production is dominated by global institutions which sell their products & services to national audiences"
-To what extent do you agree with this stratement?

Before you start...

• Pick out key words. For example:  Production, dopminated, global institutions, extent (show other sides to the arguyment), agree.
• Analyse what the question is asking. So in this case it is stating that the biggest production companies is dominating the film industry, so essentially that small indapendent films wont be that much of an impact and dont generate that much profit. This would mean you would have to show your own knowledge of small indapendent production companies as in comparison to the larger production companies that "appear" to be dominating the industry.

First Paragraph

• Show your understanding of the question by rephrasing it and giving your own opinion on the statement.
• Explain how there is two sides to this argument.

Second Paragraph

• Show knowledge of existing evidence to support that big production companies do infact dominate the film industry
• Give example to show knowledge (own case study), including information on it; i.e. its budget, how much it made etc.

Third Paragraph

• Show evidence that there are small production comapanies that have had a big impact in the film industry.
• Give examples of films (own case study) to show knowledge, including information on it; i.e. its budget, how much it made etc.

Conclusion

• Summarise the two sides and show evidence that, it's not always the case that big production companies dominat the film industry.
• Come up with your own opinion on the statement
• Re-cap (rephrase) all the points been made throughout.
